New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily stopped an important feature which permits you to alter the address of your Aadhaar card's address without identification document.
UIDAI lets customers of Aadhaar cards to change their address without any paperwork. Aadhaar card holders are able to update their address, as long as they agree to the authentication to the identity verifier. An address verifier could be a close friend, relative landlord, family member or even a friend who allows the Aadhaar card holder to utilize their address as proof.
UIDAI has now halted this facility. UIDAI responded to an Aadhaar Card Holder by tweeting that the capability to update address on the Aadhaar Card via an Address Validation letter was removed. UIDAI has asked that the Aadhaar issuer to advise the user of the possibility to update their address with another valid PoA document.
Dear Resident Please note that the Service for Address Validation Letter service has been suspended until the end of time. Kindly request your address update using another valid PoA document from the list https://t.co/BeqUA0pkqL
